Your domain name is bought in your name and costs about $10 to $25 a year, paid to the registrar. Prices exclude any tax that applies.

Hi, I'm Gavin Rice

Gavin Rice, founder of Rice & Co. Web Studio

I'm a developer based in Nevada, Iowa, and I build websites for the kind of businesses that keep a town running: contractors, shops, service companies and local trades.

I started Rice & Co. Web Studio because a lot of good local businesses either don't have a website or have one that's out of date, hard to use on a phone, or locked behind a company they can't leave. I'd rather you see the work first, pay a fair fixed price, and own what you paid for.

Straight answers

Is the mockup really free?

Yes. I build it on my own time. There's no obligation to buy, and you don't need to sign anything to see it.

What do I own?

You own your domain name, your content and the finished site files. I host the site for the monthly fee, and you can move it to another host any time.

What if I want to cancel?

Either of us can end the monthly plan with 30 days' notice. I'll hand over your site files and help move your domain.

What counts as a small edit?

Changing text, prices, hours or a photo on an existing page. Adding pages or new features is quoted separately, in writing, before I start.

Will this get me to the top of Google?

I can't promise rankings. I can promise a fast, clear site set up properly, with your Google Business profile in good shape, which gives local customers the best chance of finding you.
